A Bit About Me:
Janessa Williams) is a St. Louis-based artist whose work fuses creativity, community, and culture. Specializing in acrylic painting, digital illustration, and graphic design, she uses vibrant colors and expressive forms to celebrate melanated skin and explore themes of womanhood, social justice, and Black identity.
With a BFA in Graphic Design and an MA in Public Relations, Janessa bridges fine art and communication to create work that inspires connection and dialogue. Her murals and exhibitions—featured across the region—reflect cultural pride, empowerment, and historical storytelling.
Through her brand ColorTripz, Janessa leads community-centered art projects and collaborates with organizations such as Soldan International Studies High School and Rung for Women. Her mission is to use art as a tool for healing, education, and celebration—transforming spaces and uplifting voices through color and creativity.
